Fire TV app questions
Where do I get the Fire TV app?
Only from the Amazon Appstore. On your Fire TV, find DarkMatter VPN in the Appstore and install it from there. If you find the app offered anywhere else, don’t install it.
I subscribed on the website. Can I use the same account on Fire TV?
Yes. Sign in to the Fire TV app with the same email and password you use for your DarkMatter account.
Does my plan cover my Fire TV?
Yes. Your plan belongs to your account rather than to one device, so you can use it on your Fire TV alongside your other devices, within your plan’s device limit.
Why does Fire TV ask me to approve a VPN connection?
The first time you connect, Fire TV asks for permission to set up a VPN connection. It’s a standard prompt for VPN apps. Approve it once and DarkMatter can connect.
The VPN won’t connect on Fire TV. What should I try?
Check that your Fire TV is connected to the internet, and make sure the app is up to date in the Amazon Appstore. Some networks block VPNs altogether, so we can’t promise it will connect everywhere. If it still won’t connect, email support@darkmattervpn.com.
Does removing the app cancel my plan?
No. Removing the app from your Fire TV doesn’t cancel your plan; you can manage your plan from your account.
