Source code for open-source components
Some parts of our apps are open-source software. Here’s how to get their source code.
DarkMatter VPN for Mac
DarkMatter VPN for Mac 1.1.0 uses the OpenVPN tunnel library, which is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3. To get its complete source code, contact support and we’ll send it to you. We can also send it on physical media at cost.
This offer is valid for at least three years after we last distribute that version.
DarkMatter VPN for Windows
DarkMatter VPN for Windows includes open-source components licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
Cygwin 2.5.1 (GPL version 3 or later). Download its complete source code:
- cygwin-2.5.1-1-src-x86_64.tar.xz (12.9 MB), for 64-bit Windows. SHA-256:

OpenVPN 2.6.12 (with the LZO compression library), the TAP-Windows 9.24.2 driver, the WireGuard and Wintun drivers, and the GCC runtime library. OpenVPN, LZO and TAP-Windows are licensed under GPL version 2, and so is the source code of the WireGuard and Wintun drivers; the GCC runtime library is under GPL version 3 with the GCC Runtime Library Exception. To get their complete source code, contact support and we’ll send it to you. We can also send it on physical media at cost. Anyone can ask, and this offer is valid for at least three years after we last distribute that version.
